I am a creative person and have always been this way. If stranded on a deserted island, I would hope to have a camera or some art supplies and that should keep me going... I'd starve but be happy!
I've had a camera in my hand for as long as I can remember. My friends and family used to roll their eyes every time I took my camera out to capture the moment--as insignificant as it may have seemed. These insignificant moments are what our life is made of and they turn out to be the best and most memorable ones.
When I became a mother, I realized how fast time flies and found myself trying to make time stand still for just one second so I could take it all in. My solution: the camera!
